Visitors to the 2018 RAPID+TCT additive manufacturing show saw plenty of impressive 3D printers, but one stood out for productivity. A printer built by Titan Robotics attracted attention for exceptional printing speed, thanks in part to servo systems and a motion controller from Yaskawa. The result was a printing speed of 350 mm/sec, with non-printing travel times of 1 m/sec.
